The Makeshift is a collective of artists making art accesible through mobile education and digital spaces. Based in the Montrose area of Houston, TX, this magic school bus aims to empower local communities and artists by giving them  the tools to necessary to create art through traditional and digital mediums. Our mentors include: painters  (traditional and digital), photographers, musicians, videographers, fashion designers, modeling agents, and digital media marketers. We believe that social media should be used to connect people and inspire one another; we also recognize the many challenges and limitations artists face when they choose to pursue such undervalued fields. The Makeshift is here to let you makeshift your artistic vision into something tangible, whether you call yourself an artist or not.
